Terminate an employee when they leave your organisation for any reason — resignation, retirement, dismissal or the end of a contract. This is how their benefit gets paid.
Where: the employee record › Termination tab. Before you start: check the employee’s payout details and phone number are correct — that is where the benefit will be paid, and the record is locked after termination, so they cannot be changed later.
Termination cannot be undone. It ends the employee’s service on the platform and starts the final settlement of their benefit.

What happens next

1

The platform works out the final benefit

It adds the benefit earned in the final part-month, up to the termination date, and prepares a final settlement for the full accrued amount.
2

The trustee approves the payment

The settlement goes to your trustee, who checks it against the trust’s money.
3

The benefit is paid

The platform administrator pays it to the employee’s payout account or SmartPay wallet. Once paid, it no longer counts in your total liability.
You do not need to do anything after confirming the termination.

If termination is refused
