Three pages let you check that the fund manager is investing the trusts’ money as agreed: Asset Register (what is held), Allocation Variance (whether the mix matches policy) and Portfolio ROI (how it has performed). They work the same way, and they are read-only.
Where: Asset Register, Allocation Variance or Portfolio ROI in the menu. Before you start: the fund manager must have an active portfolio for the trust. Month-end views need the fund manager’s month-end snapshot.

Choosing a trust and portfolio

1

Choose the Trust (1)

The page opens on the first of your trusts that has an active portfolio. Choose another trust from the list if you need it.
2

Set the As-at date (2)

Mode chooses between a live calculation and a saved month-end snapshot.
3

Tick the portfolios (3)

4

Select Calculate (4)

The button is called Run variance or Run portfolio ROI on the other two pages.

Asset register

What the portfolios hold on that date.
Total value SLE 149,400, 4 active assets, 1 written off, value over time, holdings by type and the assets table

Asset register

Total value, Active assets, Written off and Month-on-month change; the value over time; holdings by type; and every asset with its acquisition and current value. Export downloads the register.

Allocation variance

How the actual split compares with the agreed policy.
Weighted average variance 3.01%, total value, 3 within tolerance, 0 watch, 2 outside tolerance, and the status mix

Allocation variance

Each asset type is Within tolerance, on Watch, or Outside tolerance. Ask the fund manager about anything outside tolerance.

Portfolio ROI

The return on the portfolios, against their benchmark.
Portfolio ROI -5.62%, invested capital SLE 165,000, total return -9,275, benchmark not set, and return over time

Portfolio ROI

ROI is built from month-end snapshots, so use a month-end As-at date such as 30 September. Annualised ROI and benchmark comparison show N/A until the portfolio has enough history and a benchmark is assigned.
