> What the EOSB platform administrator does, and where each task lives.

<Tip>
  New to the platform? Start with [How the platform works](/concepts/how-it-works) and [Roles and responsibilities](/concepts/roles). Every workflow is drawn out under **How EOSB works**.
</Tip>

As the platform administrator you run the EOSB platform for everyone else. You register the organisations that take part, set employers up so they can start, act for employers when they need help, pay out approved benefits, and manage who can sign in.

## How an employer comes on board

<Steps>
  <Step title="You register the employer">
    Fill in the registration form and upload the certificate of registration and tax evidence. See [Register an employer](/admin/register-employer).
  </Step>

  <Step title="The regulator verifies it">
    The registration goes to MELSS. When the regulator approves it, the employer gets a user account and shows under **Employment** as **Verified inactive**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="You set the employer up">
    Create the EOSB trust, appoint the trustee and fund manager, and confirm the trust bank account. See [Set up and activate an employer](/admin/activation).
  </Step>

  <Step title="You activate it">
    Once every readiness check passes, activate the employer. They can then register employees and fund their trust.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Trustees and fund managers come on board the same way: you register them, the regulator verifies them, and they can then be appointed to employer trusts.
